PHIC
provides loans of water pumps and free credits in
terms of seeds and fertilizers to subsistence
farmers in Siem Reap, Battambang, Pailin, Beanteay
Meanchey, and Svay Rieng provinces.
During the planting
season, many subsistence farmers do not have seeds
for planting because they have eaten the seeds and
are too poor to afford to buy fertilizer for their
paddies. PHIC provides seeds and fertilizers
to the neediest and they will pay PHIC back after
harvest.
