In Chensa village, a healthier rice crop is ready to be
harvested. A water pump, provided by PHIC, enabled water
from a nearby pond to reach the rice paddies, irrigating them
and saving the crop.

These rice paddies
will not produce rice because there was an inadequate water
supply during the cross-pollination period. I was very
disappointed that PHIC did not have enough water pumps to help
all the farmers. They had invested so much time and
effort only to lose the crop one month before the harvest.
