Mr. Mardi Seng,
Plant Hope in Cambodia
P.O. Box 343
Sudbury, MA 01776 USA

Dear Mardi:

The Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE would like to thank Plant Hope in Cambodia and you for your generous donation of needed medications to The Sihanouk Hospital Center of HOPE (SHCH). Your pharmaceutical donation will allow us to correctly fill many of the 600 prescriptions we process every day. It is from such kind support that we are able to provide free medical care and hope to those who might never receive it.

As you know already, Cambodia is one of the most medically underserved countries in the world. The always difficult situation was worsened by the terrible Mekong River flooding this past fall which further devastated hundreds of thousands of people. Many of these people came and continue to come to SHCH for free, high quality medical care. We have done our best to see as many as possible. We now provide care for more than 250 patients every day and over 5,000 patients each month. In just over four years, more than 270,000 patients have come for care, many with advanced and complicated conditions. We treat diarrhea, parasitic infections, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, malaria, typhoid fever, tuberculosis, meningitis, AIDS and many other serious illnesses. Your donation of medicine is helping us continue to provide high quality medical evaluation, treatment, and even needed surgical procedures at no charge to these poverty stricken patients.

Many expressions of gratitude and appreciation come from our patients and their families for the care, concern and high-quality medical treatment they have received. This would not be possible without your friendship and generosity which enables SHCH to continue to provide medical treatment free of charge to the poor and needy of Cambodia.

Gratefully yours,

Dr. Graham J. Gumley Dr. Cameron Gifford
