Dear Mardi,

Please find the photographs attached of the medication donation from Plant Hope in Cambodia to the Friends Without a Border Orphanage Project. From left to right is Som Sophal (Unit Manager of the In-patient Department and link nurse for Wat Sei Aa-Metrie Pagoda and the 35 orphaned boys who live there), Tep Navy (Unit Manager of the Out-Patient Department and link nurse for the Siem Reap Orphanage and 65 resident children, Kazumi Sakima (Nurse Advisor, United Nations Volunteer) and Emma Youngs (Nurse Advisor, Voluntary Service Overseas).

I am sorry it has taken so long for these digital images to reach you but you will remember that we had no digital camera and then Kazumi bought one but did not have the soft wear to download the pictures and then she bought the soft wear but had to learn how to use it. Technology is not always benefit here as you know.

The Siem Reap Orphanage continues, they are still receiving the rice and soap etc every month from your donation and recently we have secured a very large donation which will pay for extra staff, washing machine, fridge, a vegetable garden, clothing etc so we are very happy that we have, through our generous donors, been able to improve their diet, hygiene, surroundings and the amount of personal attention each child will receive everyday.  All this will help to improve the physical and mental health status.

Before Hide left he built them a wonderful play ground with swings and a slide, so that they can play and laugh the way children are supposed to. Please give Daravuth a big hug from me and Kazu.

Take Care and thank you again for helping us to support the health status of the children here.

Yours,

Emma
